English: Commemorative plaque to Count Ödön Széchenyi (1839–1922) Hungarian nobleman and Turkish pasha, founder and chief of the fire service in Hungary and then in Turkey. He was the first to cross Europe by river aboard his steamer Hableány (Mermaid) from Budapest to participate in the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867, arousing international resonance with this voyage of bravery. The plaque was attached to the entrance to the port of the former Óbuda shipyard on the occasion of the 1st Széchenyi Memorial Tour organized on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of this historical voyage. The author of the bronze relief is Mr. Zsolt Gulácsy-Horváth. It was inaugurated on May 17, 1997. (Budapest, District III, Óbudai-sziget Nr 606)
Français : Plaque commémorative au comte Ödön Széchenyi (1839–1922) noble hongrois et pacha turc, fondateur et chef du service d'incendie en Hongrie puis en Turquie. Il était le premier à traverser l'Europe par voie fluviale au bord de son vapeur Hableány (Sirène) à partir de Budapest pour participer à l'Exposition universelle de Paris en 1867, suscitant une résonance internationale avec ce voyage de bravoure. La plaque a été fixée à l'entré du port de l'ancien chantier naval Óbuda à l'occasion du 1er Széchenyi Memorial Tour organisé à l'occasion du 130e anniversaire de ce voyage historique. L’auteur du relief en bronze est M. Zsolt Gulácsy-Horváth. Elle a été inaugurée le 17 mai 1997. (606, Óbudai-sziget, Budapest, 3e arr.)
Magyar: Gróf Széchenyi Ödön (1839–1922) magyar főúr, török pasa, a hazai, majd a török állami tűzoltóság megszervezője és irányítója. Hableány nevű gőzösével 1867-ben elsőként hajózott el Budapestről Párizsba a világkiállításra, nemzetközi visszhangot kiváltva bravúros útjával. Az emléktáblát 1997-ben helyezték el az Óbudai-szigeten, az egykori Óbudai Hajógyár dokkjának bejáratánál, a 130. évfordulón szervezett I. Széchenyi Emléktúra alkalmából.
