Soviet WW2 era Multi-turreted medium Tank Manufacturer:- Kirov Factory, Leningrad Built:- 1932 to 1941 Total Production:- 503 Main Armament:- 76.2mm KT-28 Howitzer A similar design to the single British Vickers A1E1 Independent tank built in 1926, the T-28 was originally designed as an infantry support tank to complement the heavier T-35, which was also multi-turreted. The T-28 was not a great success in combat, however, but did prove useful as a development project. Many solutions that were tested on the T-28 became part of later tank designs. On display at the Central Armed Forces Museum, Moscow, Russia. 26th August 2017 |
