Description
English: Operated for Excel Airways by Air Atlanta Icelandic. Delivered new to Eastern Airlines in Dec-85 as N522EA, this aircraft continued in service until Eastern ceased ops in Jan-91. It was stored at Mojave (MHV), CA, USA, until it was leased to Air 2000 as G-OOOW in Oct-91. It was returned to the lessor in May-02 and stored at Southend (SEN) UK until it was leased to Air Atlanta Icelandic as TF-ARE in Nov-02. It remained stored until May-03 when it began ops for Excel Airways. It was transferred to Air Atlanta Europe in Mar-06 as G-VKNC and ops for Excel Aws continued. It was returned to the lessor in Nov-06 and became N315ST before being converted to PCF configuration in May-07. It was leased to VARIGLOG Cargo as PR-LGI for two years until Jun-09 when it reverted to N315ST and was stored at Jacksonville (VQQ), FL, USA. In Oct-11 it was leased to DHL Aviation Services as A9C-DHD and continues in service (as of Apr-13).
