Summary[edit]

Description

English: TOURNAI —Corner house at 8 quai Notre Dame (Our lady Nr 8) Quai Notre-Dame is largely made up of Louis XIV style houses built between 1680 and 1685, during the rectification of the quays. They are characterized by an alternation between stone (at the level of the frames of the openings and the bands) and brick (for the sills, overmantels and entablatures) as well as by their very geometric side. The horizontality is underlined by bands that run along the entire façade and extend the lintels of the windows. The verticality is accentuated over the entire height of the facade by the window pedestals.
