As there is a temple in the middle of Fewa Lake, the name of this goddess has remained Taal Barahi. This temple is called Talabarah and the goddess is also called Barahi Shaktipith.

This temple was earlier on a ridge at the head of the lake. After reminding the then king Kulmandan that in a night dream “Barahi wanted to stay in the water”, the king brought him from there and built a temple at the present place.

This pagoda style temple is very attractive. The temple has a metal roof and a gold mold in Gajur. The temple has a stone as a symbol of Barahi Bhagwati. Which is called “Aghanto”. There is even a tradition of sacrificing to these goddesses. The priests of this temple have a tradition of being Brahmins. Pokhara is full of locals as well as natural resources Local tourists also come to this temple to worship the devotees are very stressed. You have to go to this temple from the boat without seeing the natural scenery. From this temple, the view of the mountain ranges seen from Pokhara, the hills of Pokhara valley, the greenery, the tourist spot of Pokhara lakeside etc. is very beautiful. There is a legend that as many animals are sacrificed in this lake, so many waves are moving in Dhor Barahi.
