Description
Deutsch: Taunusanlage 20. Frankfurt am Main. Teilausschnitt des Bürogebäudes der ehemaligen Frankfurter Versicherungsgesellschaft Providentia, erbaut 1898-1903. Das von dem damals bekannten Schweizer Architekten Hermann Ritter (1851-1918), einem Schüler Gottfried Sempers, und des Freiberger Architekten Theodor Martin in Anlehnung an Klassizismus und Barock entworfene Gebäude weist eine Zentrierung der Werksteinfassade durch Eingangsrisalit zwischen Kolossalsäulen und von Putti bekröntem Portal auf. Die beiden Architekten erbauten bereits 1893-1896 für die Gebrüder Hoff deren spätklassizistisches Eckhaus auf der Zeil, Ecke zur Liebfrauenstraße als grösstes Spezial-Haus von Frankfurt für Seidenwaren. Das Gebäude in der Taunusanlage 20 wurde später auch Palais Allianz genannt. Deutlich erkennbar das Frankfurt Stadtwappen.
