Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Inside the Technics RS-B605 cassette deck (1988-1989 model year).
The Dolby HX Pro is built around the NEC uPC1297 IC (bottom center) which drives two push-pull bias transformers (left and right of the IC). The circuit operated two channels in stereo, although not exactly independently - as specified by Dolby. Curiously, there is no double-D licensing mark on the IC. The third transformer (top, just right of centerline) is for the main output of the erase/bias generator.
