[edit]DescriptionTechnics RS-M270x mech exposed 03.jpg |
English: Technics_RS-M270X cassette deck - tape transport (saggy belt). The transport can operate without this belt - the play/rew/ff functions don't need it. However, the counter belt drives the autostop sensor, and if it does not move - the transport switches off after some delay. |

Reel motor shaft
Reel drive idler
The lamp is driven with 12V DC and can be easily replaced with a LED (there's plenty of space for a ballast resistor on the PSU PCB)
The counter/autostop belt looks fine, but it's not.
Direct-drive capstan motor rotates continuously when the power is on. Reel motor rotates in play/rew/ff modes and turns off in stop mode.
