Description
Nederlands: Tektonische onderverdeling van het Noord-Amerikaans kraton. Het platform (gebieden waar het kraton bedekt is door Fanerozoïsch gesteente) is gearceerd weergegeven. Deze kaart is gebaseerd op werk van Hoffman (1988), Williams et al. (1991) en Gorbatschev & Bodanova (1993), maar geupdated met informatie uit recenter onderzoek (vooral voor het platform en de randen van het kraton in het Canadese poolgebied, de Yukon, Alaska en Groenland. Groenland is weergegeven in een positie voor de opening van de Labradorzee en Baffinbaai rond 60 miljoen jaar geleden - hoofdzakelijk gebaseerd op St-Onge et al. (2009).
