Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Tempelaaq adalah tempat khusus untuk menyimpan tulang belulang leluhur dalam ritual Kwangkay oleh suku Dayak Tonyooi-Benuaq. Tempelaaq terbuat dari batang kayu ulin yang dihiasi ukiran dan memiliki dua tiang. Hiasan yang ada pada masing-masing Tempelaaq berbeda, tergantung kedudukan sosial orang yang tulang belulangnya disimpan dalam Tempelaaq. Posisi leluhur dalam masyarakat Suku Dayak Tonyooi-Benuaq juga menentukan penempatan Tempelaaq. Tulang belulang leluhur yang berderajat tinggi akan ditaruh di luar rumah. Peti yang bertiang satu disebut krerikng. Tempelaaq ini berada di kampung Muara Nayan, kecamatan Jempang, Kabupaten Kutai Barat, Kalimantan Timur.
