English: International campaign for the saving of the Nubian Monuments was launched by UNESCO in 1960. The reconstruction of the Abu Simbel Great and Small Temples was completed in on their new elevated sites in September 1968. Temple of Hathor or Small Temple Constructed during the XIXth Dynasty. On the façade, six colossuses represent Rameses II (1290-1223 B.C.) and his wife, Queen Nefertari, shown as the Goddess Hathor. Beside each colossus are small figures in relief depicting the children of the royal couple.
Français : Campagne internationale pour la sauvegarde des monuments de Nubie lancée par l'UNESCO en 1960. Les travaux de reconstruction des Grand et Petit Temples d'Abou-Simbel ont été terminés en Septembre 1968. Ici, le Petit Temple. Sur la façade six colosses représentent Ramsès II (1290-1223 av. J.C.) et son épouse la reine Nefertari représentée sous l'aspect de la déesse Hathor. A côté de chaque colosse se trouvent de petites figures en haut-relief représentant les enfants du couple royal.
