Description
Deutsch: Ein sogenannter Tertiärquarzit am Dreiländerweg in Aachen. Solche Steine wurden hier wahrscheinlich bewusst aus der Umgebung zusammengetragen. Weitere solche "rundlichen Sandsteinblöcke" liegen vor dem ehemaligen Hotel Dreiländereck, heute ein Mietshaus. "Auch wenn sie äußerlich große Ähnlichkeit mit den Zyklopensteinen des Aachener Sandes im Burtscheider Wald zeigen, sind sie doch eher Tertitärquarzite".[1]

Tertiärquarzite finden sich in der Gegend im Westen von Aachen fast überall. Ein weiteres Beispiel ist ein Tertiärquarzit auf dem Schneeberg.
