Summary
[edit]DescriptionTesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe.jpg |
English: The Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe, located in Shoreham, New York, is the site of Nikola Tesla’s last remaining laboratory. In 1901 Nikola Tesla built a 187-foot-high tower intended for worldwide wireless communication and power transmission. Although the tower was demolished in 1917, the base of the tower remains, and may be seen in this photograph. The laboratory was designed by the architect Stanford White. Wardenclyffe is on the National Register of Historic Places (reference number pending) and has been recognized as an historic site by the American Physical Society and by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
