Español: El Muestrario de la Imprenta Real de 1799 incluye parte de las matrices que tenía su obrador de fundición, procedentes del obrador de la Real Biblioteca en parte (grabadas fundamentalmente por Gerónimo Gil) y en parte del obrador de Bodoni (quizá sea la primera colección completa fuera de Italia). En esta imagen de la página 37 aparece el grado de Texto grabado por Gerónimo Antonio Gil (1732-1798).
El texto usado para mostrar las letras es original pero no se ha delimitado su autor, aunque con seguridad no es el director de la Real Biblioteca Juan de Santander ni el grabador Gerónimo Gil, ni el calígrafo Francisco Javier de Santiago Palomares. Los textos, muy interesantes, comentan las semejanzas y diferencias entre dos términos o expresiones, ninguno relacionado con las artes de la imprenta. |
