Description
English: The Burlington Zephyr, 1934 diesel-electric railcar which held the world land speed record for diesel rail traction, 116 mph, until 1976 when it was broken by a British High Speed Train travelling at 144 mph, a record that stands to this day. The Zephyr has one sixteen cylinder turbocharged diesel engine developing 660 bhp.
