Summary[edit]

Description
English: As seen in April 2020: the Columbia apartment building cuts an imposing form at the southwest corner of Whitney Place and Carolina Street, in Buffalo's West Village. Erected in 1892, the Romanesque Revival style is exemplified here by the stout hexagonal finial-topped towers that frame the façade, the preponderance of round-arched windows, multitudinous steep-roofed gables, and the overall heavy massing evident throughout the design.
