The Great Buddha of Kamakura, also known as The Great Buddha of Kōtoku-in. (鎌倉大仏, Kamakura Daibutsu) is a bronze statue of Amida Buddha, which stands on the grounds of Kōtoku-in. This 11.4-meter high statue has long been the second tallest bronze Buddha statue in Japan, surpassed only by the statue at Todai-ji in Nara.
