Summary[edit]

Description South Main Street, Providence. The oldest commercial building in Providence, designed by Joseph Brown and completed in 1773 as a two storey building, the third storey added in 1797 and it served as the Town Hall until 1878. Since 1950 it has been used as classrooms by the Rhode Island School of Design.
