Description
English: The Mother Orange Tree — the first planted and oldest living orange tree (Citrus sinensis cultivar) in Northern California.
  • Originally planted in 1856 in Bidwell's Bar, at the western approach to the 1855 Bidwell Bar Bridge over the Feather River.
  • Transplanted in 1964, near the also relocated historic bridge, with both now beside (instead of under) Lake Oroville, in Butte County.
