Object history La obra, creída como original de Parmigianino, pertenecía a la colección del escultor italiano Pompeo Leoni, la cual, a su muerte en 1608, pasó a engrosar la Colección Real española. Expoliada durante la Guerra de la Independencia Española por José Bonaparte, fue recuperada por el duque de Wellington, y finalmente regalada a este por Fernando VII. Actualmente se conserva en la Apsley House de Londres, junto al resto la colección del duque.
Inscriptions Abajo, en el centro, el antiguo número de inventario con el que figuraba en la Colección Real española: 450.
