Summary[edit]

Description
English: It is thought to be the Philippines' oldest church, the Basilica Minore del Santo Nino de Cebu was built in 1565. It is the center of pilgrimage in central Visayas. The architectural style of the Basilica is a mixture of Muslim, Romanesque, and neo-classicism. The church has an arched main entrance and rectangular corners on the side. This basilica is as large as the faith of the Cebuanos. It is also remarkable that this basilica has survived earthquakes, typhoons, and other natural calamities. Indeed, this place is miraculous as many people gathered for a miracle like to cure their diseases and to ask for divine providence.
