Summary

[edit]
Description After last week's trip to the Maldon side of the Blackwater Estuary, I was determined to get better shots of the Brent Geese on the saltmarshes, but for that, you need to be on the Heybridge side. So parking at Heybridge Basin, I followed the river path back down towards Maldon, around the gravel pit lake and then took the towing path of the Blackwater & Chelmer Navigatiion back to the sea lock at Heybridge Basin once more. Total distance about 4 miles, with great views of the birds and the boats.
