Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This is the entrance to Grand Harbour on the Mediterranean Island of Malta.

The breakwater was replaced a few years ago and it was insisted that the bridge leading to it must also be replaced BUT the central pillar of the old bridge must remain. It's a single span arched truss steel footbridge leading from the foreshore of Fort Saint Elmo in Valletta to the breakwater at the entrance if the Grand Harbour. Constructed in 2011-12.

The original bridge connecting fort St Elmo with the breakwater was completed in 1906 but destroyed in 1941 by the Italian navy.
