| Description | Now for the piece de resistance. Despite my overall dislike for skyscrapers and tall steeI and glass buildings, I do thing that it is worth a visit to see the night view of the Bund. The sight fully exhibits the magnificence of the various buildings of different architectural styles and makes for one of the best night scenes in Shanghai especially with the colorful lights floating in the river and the flashing lights on the far side of the river. I could not do it myself though, for fatigue at the fag end of 8 days of intensive touring and a busy hot day with much walking on this day aside, I also had an early start for my trip to Hauangzhou the following day. At any rate it was drizzling heavily that night, meaning I could not go out again.
