| Description | The flight deck of our Embraer E190, snapped by my son as we boarded. He would normally request to go in, but this is a small aircraft, so space is tight. The crew were busy and in the process of boarding passengers, so there were passengers ahead of, and behind us so any such request would disturb and distract them unnecessarily. At any rate, I personally feel it's better to ask after we have landed, rather than before take off when the pilots would be busy preparing for flight, so any distraction could be risky. Better sense thus prevailed and we repaired quietly to our seats. (St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, June 2015) |
