| Description |
English: Durga is a major Hindu goddess, worshipped as a principal aspect of the mother goddess Mahadevi. She is associated with protection, strength, motherhood, destruction, and wars. Durga Puja is an annual festival celebrated magnificently and the biggest festival in Kolkata. The last ritual of Durga Puja is Bijoya Dashami where women plays sindoor with Goddess Durga and among themselves to mark the journey of the end of the festival.
