Description You are never too far away from the mighty Mekong wherever you go in Luang Prabang, and so here we are, at the Mekong river, at the exit on the other side of Wat Xieng Thong. Note the pleasant riverside road in the immediate foreground. It's a pleasant place to hang around in the evenings, though the riverside restaurants and stuff are clustered along some bits along the road only. (Luang Prabang, Laos/ Lao PDR, April 2014)
