This logo is the official Logo of the Catholic Diocese of Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. The Diocese of Ratnapura is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: This logo is the official Logo of the Catholic Diocese of Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. The Diocese of Ratnapura is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, therefore Mother Mary´s image is seen in the middle of the Logo. The globe symbolizes the universal church. The cross symbolizes salvation for all humanity. The green color map symbolizes the whole province of Sabaragamuwa in which the diocese of Ratnapura is contained. The tea and rubber plantations are the main economic strength of the people of this Province, therefore the map is drawn in green. The red color flame symbolizes the evangelical mission of the diocese to bring good news to the people and to enlighten them with the Truth.
