Description Yes, I know I had arrived in LP by air, through LP International airport, but that was at dusk, when it was almost dark, and we had been distracted and delayed by a VIP movement anyway. So I was aghast to see this sign for LP airport during daytime as we headed to it. 'This is LP airport? I gasped. 'So quiet, and overgrown with weeds and grass? There is no one here. So how many flights take off from here anyway?'. No sir, my guide assured me. LP airport is still a little way ahead. This is the old LP airport, no longer in use. Well, well, well! Another interesting thing to explore just before my flight! Gosh I love this country! (Luang Prabang, Laos/ Lao PDR, April 2014)
