Italiano: La Galleria Napoletana è la terza sezione del Museo di Capodimonte. E' situata al secondo piano del Palazzo, occupandolo quasi per intero, nelle sale 61 - 106. Vi viene presentata, in senso cronologico, l'arte a Napoli nel suo sviluppo dal Duecento al Settecento. Le opere di artisti napoletani sono frammiste a quelle di grandi artisti forestieri chiamati a Napoli dai regnanti o da facoltose famiglie aristocratiche o dagli ordini ecclesiastici per decorare le residenze o i luoghi religiosi a loro cari, al fine di aumentare il prestigio personale. Le opere sono per la maggior parte - ma non esclusivamente - a carattere religioso, e provengono non solo da numerose chiese e monasteri di Napoli allorquando Gioacchino Murat nel 1807 soppresse gli ordini religiosi e ne incamerò i beni, ma anche da acquisti che fecero i Borboni. Importantissimi sono pure i sette arazzi fiamminghi con scene relative alla battaglia di Pavia (sala 62), donati allo Stato italiano nel 1862 da Alfonso d'Avalos marchese del Vasto, insieme a tutta la sua collezione d'arte (sale 98-101).
