Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Mwejġel tower, known also as Triq il-Wiesgħa Tower, is the ninth watchtower built be the Grand Master De Redin in 1659, to defend the south eastern coast of the island of Malta. It was extensively restored in 2008 and 2009. Being built close to the sea, the stars, especially the Polaris, are vital to seafarers. It is the idea behind photographing the watchtower with the stars trailing around the north star.
