Nederlands: Theodor Stang (1836-1919) was een ingenieur van Noorse afkomst. Hij werd de eerste directeur van de 's-Gravenhaagsche Duinwaterleiding en vervulde die baan veertig jaar lang. Theodor Stang verwierf in Nederland bekendheid op het gebied van waterzuivering. Theodor Stang was een zoon van de Lutherse predikant Thomas Stang, broer van de Noorse minister-president Frederik Stang (1808-1884). Theodor Stang was tevens een neef van de Noorse minister-president Emil Stang (1834-1912).
English: Theodor Stang (1836-1919) was an engineer of Norwegian descent. He became the first director of the 's-Gravenhaagsche Duinwaterleiding and held that job for forty years. Theodor Stang achieved fame in the Netherlands in the field of water purification. Theodor Stang was a son of the Lutheran pastor Thomas Stang, brother of the Norwegian Prime Minister Frederik Stang (1808-1884). Theodor Stang was also a cousin of the Norwegian Prime Minister Emil Stang (1834-1912).
