Summary[edit]

Description
English: Canon from the 300 ton barque Chanteloupe which was wrecked on Thurlestone Rock during the great storm of 24 September 1772. The ship was bound for London from Grenada, laden with sugar, coffee and rum. Of the crew of 13 and the seven passengers, only the second mate was rescued.[1]
