English: Animation showing the relation between tide producing force (light blue), frictional forces (dark blue) and energy of the tide (red). The animation starts with a constant frictional force and goes on with frictional forces becoming proportional to the total energy of the tide, whereby the peaks of total energy move towards the peaks of the tide producing force.
Nederlands: Animatie die de relatie tussen de getijdenkracht (lichtblauw), de wrijving (donkerblauw) en de energie van het getij (rood) laat zien. De animatie begint met een situatie waarbij de wrijving constant is, waarna de wrijving geleidelijk proportioneel wordt met de totale energie van het getij, en waarbij de pieken van de energie naar de pieken van de getijdenkracht toe bewegen. |
