Description
English: This simple chart shows the timeline of modern humans (Homo sapiens). The height of one cell represents 4,000 years. The first Homo sapiens evolved about 200,000 years ago (the bottom of the yellow part). The first cave paintings were done about 40,000 years ago (the bottom of the green part). The Egyptian pyramids were first built about 2,700 years ago (shown by the red cell at the top).
