Description
Deutsch: Hochaltar mit Gnadenbild
Auf prächtigem Thron, den Vorhand des Baldachin zurückgeschlagen, erscheint das gekrönte Gnadenbild der in Schmerz versunkenen Pietà. Von dieser Holzplastik, vermutlich aus der Zeit um 1390, sind nur die Häupter von Maria und ihrem dornenbekrönten Sohn zu sehen. Die Skulptur selbst ist mit nach den Farben des Kirchenjahres wechselndem Mantel und Schleiertuch bekleidet um Schäden durch einen nicht mehr bekannten Brand zu überdecken. Die kostbaren und aufwendig gearbeiteten Ornate sind Ausdruck besonderer Bitten und Danksagungen ihrer Spender. Vor diesem Bild, der leidenden Muttergottes trugen durch die Jahrhunderte unzählige Wallfahrer trostsuchend ihre Sorgen und Nöte.
