Summary[edit]

Description
English: This is a tomb of the king vijaya. It is situated on the mountain called Medagama kanda at panduwasnuwara. This mountain lies about 6 km south-east from Panduwasnuwara Kingdom. At the top of this hill lies ruins of an ancient dagoba conserved. There is a strong belief that this stupa contains the remains of the King Vijaya (543-505 BC), the first in line of a royal dynasty which lasted over 2300 years. To visit this location first you have to go to Nikasala monastery. There is foot path starting from the monastery over the mountain. You have to walk nearly 1km to reach the monument. Don't forget to carry a water bottle with you.
