English: Tombs of Frederick Frelinghuysen (1753–1804) and Frederick Frelinghuysen (1788–1820) in the Van Nest - Weston Burying Ground in Manville, New Jersey. Gertrude Schenck (1753-1794), wife of Frederick Frelinghuysen (1753–1804) also has a partial tombstone. The fragment in 2008 reads: "In memory of [Gertrude], consort of [Frede]rick Frelinghuysen, daughter of [Henry and] Magdalen Schenck [departed this] life March 11, 1794, [aged 41 yrs., 3 mos., 9 dys.]" In the 1912 survey by E. Gertrude Nevius of East Millstone, New Jersey it was intact and she wrote it in her notes as: "Gertrude Frelinghuysen, consort of Frederick, daughter of Henry and Magdalen Schenck, d. March 11, 1794, aged 41 yrs., 3 mos., 9 dys." |
