Deutsch: Auf dem Gelände der „Topographie des Terrors”, neben dem Martin-Gropius-Bau und unweit des Potsdamer Platzes, befanden sich von 1933 bis 1945 die wichtigsten Zentralen des nationalsozialistischen Terrors: das Geheime Staatspolizeiamt mit eigenem „Hausgefängnis”, die Reichsführung-SS, der Sicherheitsdienst (SD) der SS und während des Zweiten Weltkriegs auch das Reichssicherheitshauptamt. |

Im Mittelpunkt der Dauerausstellung „Topographie des Terrors. Gestapo, SS und Reichssicherheitshauptamt in der Wilhelm- und Prinz-Albrecht-Straße” stehen die zentralen Institutionen von SS und Polizei im „Dritten Reich” sowie die von ihnen europaweit verübten Verbrechen. Entlang eines „Tafelbandes”, das überwiegend Fotomaterial präsentiert, sowie thematisch zugeordneter Pulte mit Dokumenten (Faksimiles) werden die Besucher durch die Themen der fünf Hauptkapitel geführt: Die nationalsozialistische Machtübernahme (I); Institutionen des Terrors (SS und Polizei) (II); Terror, Verfolgung und Vernichtung im Reichsgebiet (III); SS und Reichssicherheitshauptamt in den besetzten Gebieten (IV) sowie Kriegsende und Nachkriegszeit (V). Der Bereich der Vertiefungen enthält EDV-Stationen und Lesemappen und bietet Informationen, die thematisch zum Teil auch über die Ausstellung hinausgehen.
