Description
English: Casa Loma, 1 Austin Terrace, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Big mansions, owned by business tycoons, may be quite common in the US (California's Hearst Castle being a good example), but they are much rarer in Canada. Here is a rare one: Casa Loma, the largest private residence in Canada, and the home of Sir Henry Mill Pallatt who had made his fortune with his electric power monopoly at the nearby Niagara Falls.

The view south toward the city centre, from one of Casa Loma's towers. The row houses in front, not part of the Casa Loma complex, look quite English - and I like them.
