Summary
[edit]DescriptionTotality.jpg |
English: We journeyed to north central Oregon to observe the total eclipse of the sun on 21 August 2017. We were blessed with a clear sky and a little more than two minutes within the umbra. As soon as the moon covered the Sun's photosphere I began shooting a series of photographs, each with increasing exposure time. The image here is a composite of three of those images.
Seeing our first total eclipse was awe inspiring. The darkest object in view seemed to be the blacked out face of the moon, since much around us was still lit (like Mt. Hood to the north). At the same time we could hear thousands of people from some distance away shouting out, in a shared expression of wonder at the unique sight. English: Image of Totality |
