Description

Var, Tourtour. La chapelle de la Trinité, construite en 1670 grâce à une donation de l'abbé Serres complétée par la communauté de Tourtour, avait été confiée à l'origine à la Confrérie de pénitents blancs. Sous le pavement se trouvent plusieurs des membres de la confrérie ainsi que des seigneurs de Tourtour. Vendue comme bien à la révolution, elle a été rendue au culte en 1806. Un tableau, Le Couronnement de la Vierge, de 1709, surmonte l'autel.

Durant la période hivernale, les offices religieux ont lieu dans cet édifice . L’association St Denis de Tourtour a fait restaurer deux tableaux religieux anciens (le couronnement de la Vierge et l’apparition de l’Ange) et des encadrements relatant le chemin de croix.

Une crèche de Noël avec de vieux santons provençaux y est également installée.
