Cuerden Hall: Carved stone coat of arms in the parapet

above the front door, flanked by a carved stag and a hawk. The arms feature Parker quartering Towneley and impaling Brooke (In 1816 Robert Towneley-Parker (1793–1879) married Harriet Brooke (1798–1878), daughter of Thomas Brooke of Church Minshall, Cheshire).
