Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Mekotek atau dikenal juga dengan Gerebeg Mekotek merupakan sebuah tradisi yang digelar di Desa Munggu, Kecamatan Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung. Mekotek adalah tradisi yang menggunakan tongkat panjang dengan berjumlah puluhan hingga ratusan membentuk formasi layaknyanya piramid yang menjulang tinggi. Dari sinilah nama Kotekan ini diambil, dari suara “tek tek tek” yang berasal dari ujung tongkat yang saling bertemu.
