Trano Falafa

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Traditional house of the east side of Madagascar also called trano Falafa.

It is made of Ravinala palm(an endemic tree from Madagascar): The trunk is used to make the walls and the floor and the petioles to form the roof. It is easy to construct and provides habitation for the people of the east of the island,

There is also a variant where bamboos are used to form the walls and the floor but the roof is made by the same process(ie made of ravinala's petiole)
