  • 5b may be Strobilidium kahli Petz & Foissner, 1992, which now is Rimostrombidium caudatum (Kahl, 1932) Agatha & Riedel-Lorjé, 1998
  • 5a may be a Strombidium sp., i. e. Strombidium velox Beardsley, 1902, (partim, Fig. 5b)
  • not to be confused: likely another synonymization is Strombidium velox Fauré-Fremiet, 1924, currently Rimostrombidium velox (Faure-Fremiet, 1924) Jankowski, 1978 (according to GBIF: Strombidium velox Fauré-Fremiet, 1924, source: The World Ciliate Catalog
