Description
English: The transfer of a point (red) and its effects on other points (grey) in the chainmail algorithm. The first image (from left) shows the point cloud in the initial state. The red point will be moved. The second image shows the initial state represented as a chainmail. In the third image the point has been moved and has pulled some connected points to a new position. The fourth image shows the point cloud after the transfer with all effects on the adjacent points. The initial state of the points is shown as lightgrey points.
Deutsch: Die Grafik stellt die Anwendung des Chainmail-Algorithmus auf eine Punktwolke dar. Einer der Punkte wird verschoben, benachbarte Punkte (grau) werden wie Kettenglieder mitgezogen. Das erste Bild (von links) zeigt eine Punktwolke im Ausgangsstadium. Der rote Punkt soll verschoben werden. Das zweite Bild zeigt das Ausgangsstadium als Kette repräsentiert. Im dritten Bild wird ein Kettenglied bewegt und daran angrenzende Kettenglieder werden mitgezogen. Das vierte Bild zeigt die Punktwolke nach der Verschiebung. Die hellgrauen Punkte im Hintergrund zeigen zum Vergleich die Punktpositionen zum Ausgangsstadium.
