| Description |
English: Trento (Italy): the original statue of Neptune (Stefano Salterio da Como, XVIII century) that towered the fountain in piazza del Duomo, until it was replaced by a bronze copy shortly after 1940. The original statue has then been placed inside the nearby town hall (Palazzo Thun).
The plaque on the right reads:
Italiano: Trento (Italia): l'originale della statua del Nettuno (di Stefano Salterio da Como, XVIII secolo) che troneggiava sulla fontana in piazza del Duomo fino a quando fu sostituita da una copia in bronzo poco dopo il 1940. La statua originale venne collocata nel vicino palazzo comunale (Palazzo Thun). |
