Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The idol of Tribikram in Pashupatinath area of Kathmandu is also called Dhapadev by the locals. The statue is very attractive. There are many things in the statue. This is the idol of Lord Tribikram, the king of the underworld, who takes the test of sacrifice. Vishnu came in the form of a dwarf to collect alms. When Shukracharya, the demon's guru, refused to give alms, he poured water from Kamandalu to resolve to give alms. However, after sacrificing the earth, the sky, and the underworld according to the demands of Vamana, the devotees who were steadfast in their word, devoted themselves to the last demand. And the pleased God demanded that God always be with him through sacrifice rather than asking for gifts. Therefore, along with this idol, there are also idols of Bali and her queen.
