The band was founded by Valentin (guitar, vocals) and Vaklin (drums) in 1992. They started as a Metallica cover band and composed a few original tracks. The subsequent 3 years were not very eventful for the band. When Miroslav joined TROSKOT, they had already changed several guitarists. The last member to complete their lineup was Miloslav on bass. The 1995 – 2000 period was active – the band gave a lot of concerts mainly in their hometown of Stara Zagora, as well as in other Bulgarian cities like Sofia, Varna and Nessebar. Unfortunately between 2000 and 2008 the band members went their separate ways. Throughout the years they kept in touch until one night when they all happened to meet. That night they shared with each other that playing music was a part of their lives which had been missing along the way. So they started rehearsing again. Contemplating for a while whether to change the name of the band or not (“troskot” is a sort of weed, in English: couch(-grass), quitch(-grass; (Synodon dactylon), at last they gave up on the idea because “troskot” proved to be vital enough - all four were back together again. In less than a year the band compiled a new album. It is a blend of completely new material and old tracks plus some remastered songs composed ten years ago. ТРОСКОТ.....Групата е създадена 1992 година от Валентин (китара, вокали) и Ваклин (барабани), свирейки предимно кавъри на „Металика” и няколко авторски парчета. Следващите две-три години не са особено плодотворни, сменят се няколко човека на китарата, докато накрая китаристът Мирослав ги намира. Групата придобива завършен вид с Милослав на баса. В периода от 1995 – 2000 г. ТРОСКОТ имат многобройни изяви на сцената – предимно в Стара Загора, но не липсват и концерти в София, Варна, Несебър и други градове.
